Melbourne Travel Guide

Still thinking where to travel after Covid? Melbourne, Australia can definitely be taken into consideration!

I don't know whether everyone knows going to other cities in Australia basically needs to take a plane. For example, from Brisbane to Sydney or Melbourne. The flight takes more than one hour from Brisbane to Sydney, and more than two hours to Melbourne. However, I'll mainly share the information about Melbourne's accommodation, transportation, and tourist attractions with you guys.

First, I just briefly mention the section of accommodation because I was staying in my friend's house and cannot specifically elaborate on the accommodation. I was staying in Box Hill, about the east of Melbourne city and took the public transport to city about forty minutes [I strongly recommend Box Hill Central  because having all kinds of stuff, including something to eat, drink, shop, and daily necessities, traditional markets, and supermarkets.] However, I personally advised you to go there in the afternoon due to the reason of having more time to shop and stores are still open. If you go there at night, you may only go to supermarkets.

Furthermore, you need to have Melbourne's Myki card to take their bus, train, and tram. You should purchase the card from the machine at the train station, and can select the suitable plan for yourself. By the way, if you want to go to Melbourne city from Melbourne airport, you can take their Skybus outside the airport (the direction to Melbourne city) to Southern Cross Station, and then take the train to your respective accommodation.

Finally, I referred to the recommendations on the Internet about the tourist attractions  (The opening hours are still based on Google and the official websites of each major tourist attractions. It may have changes each year) and the participation of one-day tours. I personally suggested if you don't have a car and want to go to further suburban tourist attractions, you can attend a one-day tour provided by a travel agency.

Note: Personally Recommended Tourist Attractions (Tourist attractions 1 to 6 don't mean the order of recommendations)

1. Box Hill Central

2. Melbourne City Central

3. Flinders Street Station

4. Carlton Gardens

6. Phillips Island  (Recently, it has been banned to use cameras to photograph penguins returning their nests. Please be sure to obey its relevant rules and protect Penguins' ecology!!!)
