My Jogging Diary
I started my running life again in late January 2025 (restarting after more than two years)! In addition to setting a small goal of 10km marathon for myself, I also took care of my health!
When I was in Germany for exchange and studying for a master's degree in Australia, I just wanted to try running in different environments, I didn't think too much about setting running goals. But when I returned to Brisbane from Taiwan after graduation, I didn't know why, I wanted to restart running and set a future running goal. This is a brief mental journey before restarting running. I think restarting running and signing up for a 10km marathon make running more meaningful. Besides pursuing internal and external health, I also have a new challenge and look forward to completing a small milestone related to sports (after all, marathon is the hall of fame for runners for me)!
For over four months, I've been maintaining the habit of running once or twice a week (starting from 3km and adjusting to 10km irregularly), and in the process I've been keeping discovering some problems with my running, and because of this, I've been naturally brainstorming and trying some methods (some were improved after trying once, and some were solved after trying several times). What's cool is that even after I exercise, I can have this kind of self-dialogue and find out the problem and the appropriate solution (which is surprisingly similar to my usual content creation). I think this is why I like creativity (it's incredible I can be creative even when I'm not creating content)! Sorry for going off topic ~ The following journey proves I can do it and bring it into my daily life (body, content creation, creative brainstorming [finally, the results prove I solved it, I improved, and I made it])
<<Running Diary Journey>>
Setting running goals --> Running (run run run exercise is good for the body), self-examination and improvement after running, handwritten sharing of my running diary --> Event day (improved by about half a minute compared to the best record during normal practice, awesome!!!!!!) --> Writing this complete journey on Webnode and sharing it with you (I will write a more concise version on vocus)
The first marathon was actually quite nervous, and it was a rather unfamiliar event for me, but it is a very important event for runners. During this period, I didn't think about many details of the marathon (I only spent a little time preparing for some pre-work and familiarising myself with the route), and I mainly focused on the fluency of running and the status of my body. I'm not sure whether more than four months is long or short for preparing for a 10km marathon, but I still did it! However, I know that it will take a longer time to prepare for a half marathon or a full marathon, so while writing this article, I also started my next journey (I gave myself more time to run, and only focused on recording the more important points and sharing them with myself and everyone) ~ I hope I can complete it well, don't give up, give myself more encouragement when I want to give up, and reduce the pressure of some goals I set for myself in the middle of the journey. I believe there will be brilliant results, fighting!
